They've started working on Deadpool 3, which will officially bring the franchise into the Disney/Marvel umbrella. Really hope they keep the R rating though. It just won't seem like Deadpool if they try to broaden the audience. But this news seem like they might be going for PG-13 because they hired the writers from Bob's Burgers. Interesting choice.

Has Disney ever released an R rated film before? They have this ridiculous idea of trying to add Deadpool to the Marvel universe how the hell are you going to have deadpool out here cutting heads off and shooting bullets through brains then have captain america throw a shield and knocking out bad guys?

I promise you they will ruin blade when it comes out. Wesley Snipes was in his movies calling vampires "motha fuckas" watch the new guy karate chop vampires and say something stupid like "how do you like that for garlic"

Logan was a bad ass movie that really showed how savage wolverine should actually be now we are going back to him stabbing people with no blood dropping anywhere.

There has never been an R-rated movie directly produced by Disney. Their subsidiaries have produced R-rated movies, but Disney proper has not.

Yeah, Reynolds ain't gonna allow it. This is his baby and while the guy doesn't only do Hard R movies he knows thats what deadpool is meant to be. And he ain't exactly hurting for work.

I really enjoyed the first one, the second one had a few funny moments but wasn't nearly as good. I'd like to see how the they pull this off with it now being under the Disney umbrella and a brand new set of writers that I don't know much about since Bob's Burgers never really looked that good to me.

Kevin Feige has confirmed in an interview with Collider that Deadpool 3 will be rated R:

It will be rated R and we are working on a script right now, and Ryan's overseeing a script right now… It will not be [filming] this year. Ryan is a very busy, very successful actor. We’ve got a number of things we’ve already announced that we now have to make, but it’s exciting for it to have begun. Again, a very different type of character in the MCU, and Ryan is a force of nature, which is just awesome to see him bring that character to life.

Sweet. He should tell Ryan to work faster though. I need that movie to start filming this year.
