I don't know why they were trying to throw it directly to the 3 point line there.

Try to get a shot from like 40 feet before you throw it into that crowd of people like that.

Teams are stupid like that. Better to get an uncontested half-courter than throw it into triple coverage when you may even be inside the arc.

Most teams should have one of their starters be a half court specialist. There is no reason why a team like Villanova can't find a guy who can make that shot 20-25% of the time.

Exactly what I was thinking. You have like a 2% chance of throwing a hail mary, catching it, and then shooting and making it with all those bodies in your way.

You have to feel for those kids. One night off shooting and you're done.

Like that Buckeyes team from Diebler's Senior year. That was even worse. You guys were clearly the best team in America and a bunch of three-point shooters went ice cold in a two-point loss.

It's a reminder of how hard it is to when a title, especially when you rely on the three. People who think that any team is a "lock" to win a title are crazy. It works out sometimes, like in 2009, 2012, and 2013, but just as often the better team loses a tight game where they can't shoot well in an arena they aren't used to.
