JONESBORO, Ga. — Former NBA All-Star guard Daron "Mookie" Blaylock was in critical condition at a hospital Friday after his SUV crossed the center line and crashed head-on into a van in suburban Atlanta, police said.
Blaylock was driving in Jonesboro on Friday when he crashed. He was airlifted to the Atlanta Medical Center in critical condition, Clayton County police spokesman Clarence Cox says.
Blaylock was taken off life support shortly after 8 p.m. ET and remains in guarded, but critical condition.
Cox says the man and woman riding in the van were also taken to the medical center. The female passenger from the other vehicle was bleeding internally and is in critical condition, according to the The Atlanta Journal-Constitution.
