Why do I see a buyout and Ales Kotalik playing in the KHL next season? I guess this is Feaster's way of quietly starting to put his stamp on the team (first Conroy, now Kotalik)

I don't think so, I think it's more likely that a call-up of a young player from Abbotsford is in the offing...

I actually think they're setting him up for re-entry waivers closer to the deadline. Some team will (foolishly, I think) assume that Kotalik can use his big shot to make their PP better.

Feaster will probably try to get someone to take him on re-entry before he goes the buyout route. Either way I think he's done in Calgary.

That's a possibility, but I agree, he's done in Calgary. That was not a good acquisition by Dutter, but he did make a good trade by sending White to Carolina for Anton Babchuk (just nice having his bomb on the point for the powerplay).

Agreed all around. Babchuk has more upside than White and he's playing better than White this year.

White had a decent year and a bit, but looks to have come back to earth. After all it's pretty easy to get lots of time on the PP in Toronto.

I really hope they just stand pat, the team is playing well right now and chemistry seems to be great, Feaster should just leave well enough alone and wait until the off-season before making any major moves.

That woould be good for the Flames,IMO. He's a young centreman who might be able to actually ge the puck to Iggy. That's something that has basically never been there for the Flames.
