2 yr deal with a player option for the 2nd year.
that sucks i was hoping Lakers would at least amnesty metta and go after him.
So does this mean they try and trade Bledsoe. Now they have 3 PGs capable of starting and Paul plays 40 min/game.
I don't know how the Clips aren't a top 3 team now. They got their coach and great depth. If they don't get to the WCF is it a fail, just like last year.
I can't for the life of me figure out what my Mavs are doing. We have like 5 PGs on the roster now. I'm assuming they let Roddy Beaubois walk, with Mike James. THey'll probably move Harris to SG, and start Calderon at PG, with Larkin as backup. But then what? We still need a front court scorer or rebounder, and a legit second scorer.
I thought they were going to amnesty Pau? Or has Howard leaving changed that?
I don't like this move. Clips need backup size for DJ and Griffin. They've got plenty of guards and wings. Should have used the rest of their mid-level to get someone over 6-9
Who is out there for them to get 6-9 and above? They did need a backup PG. Collison will do well as a change of pace.Im surprise you are the only one to notice this. Im with you. Do the Clippers really need another guard? Why not address your biggest issue, which are bigs?

My only beef with your view is that all the guys you have listed for backing up CP3 are not PG's with the exception of Billups who is likely to be injured. Having Collison as a backup PG will make your team even faster and give CP3 some quality rest. Griffin is no longer a rookie and is going to have to learn how to play with and avoid fouls. He is potentially a superstar and needs to step up. This may force his hand.Chris Kaman, Byron Mullins,Lamar Odom, and some others you can get for cheap. They did reup Ryan Hollins. I don't know if they still have Rony Turiaf or not though. Point is Griffin tends to get in foul trouble and DJ is almost impossible to play late in games because he's god awful at shooting FTs. You need servicable guys to plug in. Plus, what happens if one of them gets hurt for any length of time? Crawford, Redick, Billups, etc are all capable of giving CP3 a breather at point. They've got guys that can fill the role if need be but they're pretty spare at the 4 and 5.
