Would Dockett be a good fit for our D-line rotation? He's getting up there in age, but I think he could be a strong contributor in a rotation. Dockett would bring some attitude to the D-line, too. If the price is right (1yr/3-4mil), I would be happy to see Dockett in a Cowboys uniform.

Could possibly fit depending on the salary number and if he's healthy

Back in 2008 I never saw a DT with the incredible burst he had. It was incredible. But over the last few years he always make the most overrated lists. Great locker room leader but he's not worth the cash.

I think the only way these type free agents land in Dallas is IF they remain on the market awhile and sign for less to stay in the game. Rotation seems to be what Dallas will continue to do with the front 4

I think he is an awesome DT, but he would be more of a 3T fit in this D, right? If that's the case, I think they'd pass on giving him big money with Crawford there. He could probably play the one, he's played 4-3 and 3-4. If healthy, he is one heck of a football player

I think there are other teams that pay more than Dallas would, at this point in his career. Probably a stretch to think he would sign in big D anyway. I think Pday is correct on these types of players. Not likely DD falls that far as of now

Coming off an injury and being 34 years old going into next season, I think there is a possibility he could be around for a team like Dallas to acquire on a reasonable deal. If Dockett wants to play for a potential contender, maybe he views Dallas as a potential fit? Dallas wants to use a rotation and I think Dockett is perfect for a rotation. Dockett is not much of a run defender anymore, but I think he could still be productive as an inside rusher on passing downs.

I'm certainly not advocating outbidding other teams for the services of Dockett, but if we can land him for reasonable money, I think it would be worth it.

Looks like there are really reasons for optimism for the futureof the Cowboys . While Jerry will never give up the title of GM, the obvious change in philosophy the last couple of years makes it appear he has bought in on what Stephen and McClay are saying

Dockett signs with the 49er's....that's a team, if they were to get healthy, that could be back in black

I'm really surprised Dallas didn't go hard after Darnell Dockett to be honest with you. It would have been a great fit and you have the money to spend. Did you guys even talk to him?

I think outside Murray, the bigger money for Dallas(if they went that direction) would be on an edge rusher, then a corner. This club could use another DT, but you can usually find one that can contribute in the 3rd or 4th round. Pass rushers are harder to come by

Cards are making moves and clearing cap space to make a run at AP.

"The Cardinals were able to reach agreement with wide receiver Larry Fitzgerald on a new contract that lowered his cap hit for the 2015 season significantly and they hoped to do the same with defensive lineman Darnell Dockett, but those efforts have been unsuccessful.

Arizona announced Friday that they have released Dockett, who missed the entire 2014 season because of a torn ACL. Dockett had $6.8 million coming his way from the Cardinals before the move and he was set to count $9.8 million against the cap"
