Needs more Frank Castle
Next week is the finale. And apparently, it is entirely post-rewrite. The combination of two completely different shows has stunted this season imho. The Swordsman’s inclusion is clunky as all hell, for example.this season has been weird... its been very good, but they really are going drama over fighting... maybe with all the actors being significantly older they couldnt do "pretend" to do as much of the action as the Netflix seasons... idk...
i almost feel like nothing has happened in the 8 episodes... and i assume the season is almost over...

However, I am ok with it being more of a dramatic story than the Netflix seasons were. Matt is trying to move on, and this story is telling why he will pick up the mask again. I expect much more Daredevil in S2. I would like more crossover characters, though. Let’s see Castle. Let’s see MoonKnight. Let’s see Quake. Let’s see Yo-Yo. Let’s see Vulture. If they want to go deeper with the Swordsman, bring in Clint and explore that relationship. Leave Mantis out of it, though. That wouldn’t fit with the Defenders feel…
No point in bringing the characters back if they are doing a recast. Pointless. But those characters are supposed to be canon, so use them. And I would like Mack to at least show up somewhere in association to Fury.do you think if they bring Quake or yoyo or any of the Agents of shield, they will use those actors/actresses... sure its the same universe, but that show ended over a decade ago... would anyone realize that they are the same characters??

I am aware, in general, of Swordsman’s backstory, and his connection to Clint. That’s why I brought Clint up in my wishes for how they would handle the character moving forward. I will have to rewatch the Hawkeye show to see how they reacted to each other, though. I don’t know if I was aware of his back story when I watched that show. The Swordsman is, in the comics, a serious badass and, in fact, Hawkeye's mentor who trained him; he is to Hawkeye as the likes of Henri Ducard, David Cain, or Ra's al Ghul are to Batman.
I hated how, in the Hawkeye TV series, they instead turned him into a joke and removed all his backstory with Hawkeye.
I would love to see the Daredevil TV series redeem the character and restore Swordsman as the character that he is in the comics.
