I was always surprised he could strikeout 180 times and walk 77. He has had some decent walk totals in his career. I guess he would see "his" pitch and typically swing and miss.....or walk. Crazy.

Hell, wasn't it last year he lead the NL in both walks and strikeouts?

But the strikeouts will always drive me crazy though. It's not just another out IMO. How many runners reach via error in a year compared to how many reach base via dropped 3rd strike? Put the damn ball in play.

2012 he led the league with 94 walks and just missed the K lead.

Adam Dunn-like.

A change of scenery would certainly help, but after the past 2 years of futility, his confidence must be shattered. Confidence is critical....
At least he is insanely rich.

Agree. Hate it when hitters don't cut their swings down a little with 2 strikes. Hitting homers paid/pays to well I guess.

Productive outs can win games.

Yeah, maybe he was smart enough to not blow his money as fast as he earned it. But the right coach could bring the confidence back. They just have to fix a lot of mechanical flaws first.

Wow. Just saw Bethancourt's throw to cut down Rollins last night. That kid has a fucking gun. I love Gattis at the plate, but this kid seems pretty special behind the plate. I wonder what they will do when Gattis is healthy. I imagine Wren's phone will be ringing...

If Uggla goes to a new team and starts hitting well, I swear I will find his house and shit all over his doorstep

Nice to see Johnson hitting the ball lately. He enjoys Philly pitching.

Yep, just need to get Freeman going again. He's had a slow start to the second half, but nice series win. Wood was awesome today, and La Stella is money with the bases loaded.

I think the hit today makes La STella 6 for 7 with the bases loaded with 13 RBIs this season. And I think at least 3 of the hits have been base clearing hits.

He doesn't have any power, but the kid puts the ball in play, and has come up big in clutch situations. With his performance, I wouldn't mind Peraza being a part of a trade to bring in some bull pen help.

So I saw a Giants highlight from last night in which Dan Uggla had a routine ground ball that a little leaguer could field go right through his legs. It feels so good to see that happen and realize he's not wearing a Braves uniform anymore
