So I didn't read the article, but RG3 needs to prove a lot of people wrong. Now is his time. He has no real excuse anymore. Great WRs, great RB, great TE, HC that is offensive minded and creative. This is a critical year for him. I personally believe we will see the RG3 that more resembles his rookie year instead of last year.

I think the "shanny supporter" has become a HUGE excuse for a lot of problems. Galdi talked on the radio yesterday about new things he learned about between Griffin and Shanahan. As many surmised both sides were offsides. Robert did not get some bad deal that he didn't help to create and he can't seem to let it go this year. Even Gruden said this past off season that Griffin needs to have thicker skin.

All that being said he is healthy this year and he did get his off season reps so he has no excuses. Last I remember it was the Shanahans who were coaching when the team went 10-6. Of course it was them coaching when they went 3-13 too. Sadly it all went wrong when Robert decided to cut back into the middle of the field right into a speeding 300lber. From that point on neither he nor Coach Shanahan took the better road. But they did it together, it was not all Shanahan induced. The kid needs to quit making excuses.

Agree. Tho I would change that word to 'focusing on the past and just let it go'

dad, I didn't read the article. I have no use for Jason Reid. Just a general observation and agree with Cali. Just let it go and move on, that would be a good plan for Robert all the way through the fans. All that counts now is what happens this year.

The long and short of it is, RG3 got what he wanted. SO going forward he needs to stop with the little veiled shots at the previous coaching staff. If he goes out and Wins the Division this year, then people will roll with the it was all the Shanahans fault theory. If the Skins end up 6-10 after the offensive fire power they added. The only excuse would be if the defense and Special Teams was historically bad.

i am just saying if you are going to tell me to "just let it go " and not read the article and find out why i made the response then how can you tell me anything ? you cant because you have no idea as to why i formulated my response

if the article is negative or has negative stuff in it they want me to let it stand but if it has something positive well then we have a different standard now dont we ?

shark said he agreed with some of what was stated in the article . he read the thing . he can say that and not get a "just let it go " from the peanut gallery but when i respond to it i get "just let it go " from people who didnt take the time to read it

that is what i am complaining about

we will know if it is RG3 or if it was the shanny's soon enough . the comment i made which drew the above comments

i am not a jason reid fan .

I think you've misunderstood my comment. The person who needs to let it go and move on is Griffin.

As a fan, one can hold onto opinions as long as you personally choose, IMO.

Cali.... I dont think he CAN let it go. Which to me is a problem. When your new coach makes comments like Robert wants to be loved by everyone and cant stand negative publicity... that to me at least is worrisome. I agree Griffin does need to let it go. But I get the feeling he wont.

he may not be able to let it go . i cant disagree with that at all but a lot of people cant let things go i dont see that as leading to his demise .

his demise will come if he cant read defenses , and cant stay healthy

as far as wanting to be loved by everyone i give you lebron james and his 2 titles . people were saying that about him as well

He needs to develop thicker skin. There is a point when the need for acceptance by all becomes unhealthy.

If he can't, that won't help him in the long run. Personally I think he's too bright NOT to eventually get that.

As you've said, if the team wins...this goes away. I sincerely think that losing last year has eaten away at Griff because it's probably one of the first times in his life that he has been so criticized by so many people. He took it personally, who wouldn't, but it impacted him as a competitor probably more than an avg player. That plays a big role in the passive aggressive small digs that he needs to let go of...
