3.C David Backes, St. Louis Blues. . .Power forward a plus-30 on mediocre Blues squad.

the same mediocre Blues squad thats tied in the league standings with Toronto at 85 points

Ah yes, it was a huge surprise that Toronto started off sucking balls and then finished strong. I can't believe that they did the same thing that they've done every year since the lockout, it was a real shocker.

There were some similarities, although the Leafs never did crack the top 8 in the East, while the Flames were as high as 6th in the West at one point in the season.

Put another way, I never did believe that the Leafs would make the playoffs at any point in the season.
