per PFF:

6 for 9 for 118 yards and a TD.

On the 77 yard TD to Green, he saw the blitz, changed the line protection that bought him more time, and got the ball out to AJ for the score.

Haven't seen the grade yet, but that's at least a small step in the right direction. On the road, at a place he's not won, showing poise in situations he usually doesn't, and making it count.

Not going to get too excited over one game, but it was the best Andy has ever played vs the Ravens, without yet seeing PFF's take. I also think Hue is playing better to Andy's strengths than Jay did. He was really getting the ball out of there quickly.

Per PFF +0.8 overall +1.4 pass -0.7 run. He did look horrible trying to run those read options. Still by far the best he's ever played at Baltimore. Of note, he only faced pressure in 4 of 40 dropbacks. That's a formula for success for sure.

I never even saw anyone mention Dalton and his ridiculously awesome play where he was blitzed, two guys dragging on him, he turns slightly to his left, and flings a pass to Bernard sidearmed, to get several yards at what should have been a major sack, losing losts of yards.

That was Roethlisberger-esque in that execution.

Jackson is getting some heat for the read options, but we've had success with them against the Ravens before. Dalton scored a touchdown on one last year, when Suggs jumped the running play and Dalton faked it. I thought he struggled with it a bit yesterday, but it's not really his game...... I think it was used mostly as a way to keep Suggs honest.

The QB draw was also a tough play -- But again, we've looked pretty smart calling it with Dalton before. When it works you look like a genius - Yesterday, not so much...... I will say though, if you watch the replay it looked like it would have been open had Bodine been able to hold his block.

The run blocking was pretty horrible in Dalton's defense. I thought he played a lot better in a game nobody was expecting the Bengals to win.

I think the Dalton option near the end zone on 3rd down was a huge mistake, but I can't fault Hue for doing the other options. He was calling a very unpredictable game plan, and it was working pretty well. I think he does need to avoid so much trickery in the red zone and just play straight up, work t he TE's and RB's in and look for AJ Green or Sanu. Just find the one on one match up that favors us in height and/or talent and try to take advantage of it.

I think he out thought himself in that area. However, it would have netted one TD if Gresham actually had a clue what was going on from one play to another. Clearly Gresham stopped his route when Dalton was expecting him to continue fading away from defenders towards the end zone.

All in all, I was pretty impressed with the offense for the most part, minus the run game still. Still struggled there a bit, but I was very happy with Bodine.

On the plus side, we didn't see the usual fade pass 5 yards out of bounds in the red zone yesterday

On the Dalton runs...if you line up and give the read-option look but never actually keep it and run with it, it will never work because teams will know. So, just once in a while, it needs to be kept by the QB. Sometime the end result isn't about the yards, but more about keeping the defense honest enough. He has kept it in the past and gotten good yards out of it. It's just one of them things.

As for Gresham...he clearly stopped his route. Dalton was yelling at him after the play to keep going. If he keeps his stride, he catches that ball and walks into the endzone. The guy has amazing talent, but just doesn't seem the have the mental capacity for being an impact player. He's a backup on a team with a better option. Unfortunately for us, our better optin has his arm in a sling.

Dalton played well.

Next week may be a better test. I'm not sure about the Falcon's defense, but they'll probably put up enough points to force our offense to keep up. The 5-7 yard passes probably won't cut it. We'll see what Hue has in store for the downfield game.

We'll see..... The Saints D might just really stink. And Matty Ice is a .500 qb with average stats when he's on the road.

Dalton, Jackson and the offense have no excuse to not put the ball in the end zone next week. We're facing a below average D that we should be able to run it on.

Pretty obvious Jay was auditioning for a bigger job in his play calling creativity... How embarrassing was that Redskins game? Dalton looked far more poised in the pocket and threw the ball with more authority than I have ever seen him.

Dalton isn't the best QB out there nor is he the worst. The game Jay called vs SD was garbage. I feel bad for my Deadskin friends who are fans. Jay isn't going to bring that team winning football.

After one game you can see the impact Hue has had on Dalton.
