Cavs have turned into a 3 pt shooting team and almost all of these 3's are contested.

24 attempts and only 8 makes and we are not in the 4th yet.

The zone can be effective if you actually know how to play it.

Some teams play the zone but doesn't actually know how to play the zone

Nope because not everyone can play zone as well as Dallas does. You can't be a team who play man and decide to go to a zone just because you think it will work. You have to be a team like Dallas who practice the zone and actually go to it on the regular in the game as Dallas do. They been zoning teams for about 3-4 years at least.

Zones can be effective short term, but I don't care how much a team practices it, a NBA offense should be able to figure it out. And figuring it out isn't just about launching up threes. That's precisely what the defense wants you to do.
