I love how he says he thinks the team will do right to pay the other guys on the team what they deserve without even making mention of the fact that the team only currently has ~$14m in available space and also has to pay Zeke Elliott, whom he doesn't even mention even though he was probably the main reason they've been successful over the last 3 years.

Exactly. Dak is a good QB. He will never be great. Dallas has a lot of talent and IMO Zeke is so freaking good he hides what Dak isn’t great at. Dak knows Dallas has no backup plan and they are a playoff contender that can’t have QB issues.

I dont really buy into the its all Zeke argument. (& yes I do acknowledge it doesnt hurt) Good Running games help all QBs.
He will never be a Dan Marino but he knows how to take the game & move chains when the game is on the line. Doubt I will ever call him a top 5 QB but he does his job & does it well. He will get paid no matter what certain posters think.

If you want some "me" players, Dak will be pretty far down the list imo….after playing for chump change I don't blame him for wanting his payday.

Earn? Not many truly earn these contracts. Dak is not a stat heavy player, but fair to say, he's helped them back to being playoff relevant...I think it's more about right place, right time when you're a FA...especially a QB.

No pro player in any sport has ever given a "discount" on his "first" big contract.
