Well bitter sweet Final now

Connor/London hurting and speaking of HURTing what a choice at Qb

Wilson today who prob will not score much
or hold off and pray for Hurts on Sunday

drop Wilson and be ready for some scrap heap Qb on Sunday

or who is selling a Qb who should score much better than Wilson

This Xmas day match is a killer for me

and with all of this shoutout is it really fair to my opponent and Legend that is "T"

however no crime in seeing if anyone is offering up Qbs on this Xmas day

Perfectly within the rules

But can we please change this next year and not allow playoff teams to trade during the playoffs?

Just opens up too many cans of worms when teams who are done can trade with teams competing for a title.

Teams not in the playoffs being able to improve for next season at any time isn't the worst thing in a 16tm league and should encourage more parity in the long run

I hate it.

Really really hate it
I'm in a league that allows trades all year and once the playoffs were set trades were flying around. The non play off teams were demanding max value for old but still productive players like Henry, Connors, Evans etc. Most all playoff teams were involved and IMO the playoffs were never more exciting as teams were making moves to counter moves by their opponent. Course I've always been an active trader and I could understand if non active traders are not thrilled with the need to make a move to keep up. Really depends on the make up of the members playing. Even with a deadline I've seen moves that impacted the playoffs and I've seen moves that make you want scream during the season. I feel trading and the draft is what makes FF exciting but that's me and may be different for others.

Not me

Don’t get me wrong, I am not against trading.

But actual pro leagues have deadlines for good reason.

Cant trade for a guy because your player got hurt in the NFC championship game.

Next man up.

Use your moves to build up depth and have contingency plans.

Was the reason I had Burrow’s backup on my bench until this week.

Have to give people a deadline to make decisions by. Be like the actual leagues fantasy football is supposed to emulate.

That's fine. Each his own. I'm fine either way, but sort of lean to allowing trades. Gives the non contenders some skin in the playoffs and a way for down trodden to be able to improve and maintains more interest in the league over all. However your not alone in wanting a deadline. I actual put forth the idea in the league I'm in but there was lack of enthusiasm for the idea. The league chat has never been as active as it's been during the playoffs. I can live with a deadline but I'm fine without one as long as all is known in advanced.

Context matters for me, this is a free league with online mates, loosey goosey rules to keep as many people involved as possible for as long as possible + giving the bad teams every possible avenue to improve will always supercede formalities and comparisons to higher stakes leagues.

You lose me on the stakes argument.

These leagues are as competive as any.

I care a lot more about these leagues than I do my money leagues.

I don't do money leagues anymore. I was happier winning the BATG last year and my run of 8 straight wins in this league to go from 1-6 all the way to the semi-final then i ever was winning a money league with people i don't know.

Leaning towards @tlance side of this.

16-teams - there isnt much by way of the waiver wire to improve your playoff team without a trade.

If there was a trade deadline, perhaps make it week 15 because playoff teams are locked at that point. So if playoff teams want to spend future picks for help, it would benefit non-playoff teams too.

As for the money comment... Not a fan of the argument that money leagues are taken more serious than free leagues. Guys have bailed in both. Guys have been poor sports in both.

That said, if money is the only motivation to participate in a league, it will show. (Good riddance. Dont miss any of those guys.)

I will take it a step further…

If there is a deadline it will benefit the rebuilders more because there is more urgency for contenders to get a deal done.

As it stands now you can wait as long as you want. Don’t have to worry about getting quality depth in case somebody goes down because you can deal any time.

Yeah if it's being brought to a choice, I'm on the 'trade deadline prior to beginning playoffs' side of things. But totally get the argument on the other side. Certainly has merit

does it show on my team?

I play fantasy football to make a profit, plain and simple.
I like gambling, I like football, it's a perfect combo for me and the motivating factor to not only beat my friends in a competition, but to also take their money while doing so.
