how about ya play your own division 3 times for 9 games (bonus sets up natural division tiebreaks)
and if ya finished top 2 in your Division last year you play the top 2 in the other 3 divisions for 6 more games
bottom 2 plays other bottom twos
and we schedule the 6 out of division games week 7 through 12 which is basically they heaviest by weeks...
15 games total 2 weeks of playoffs and week 18 we all sit back and watch tv...
and if ya finished top 2 in your Division last year you play the top 2 in the other 3 divisions for 6 more games

I'm pretty much set on either just keeping at as simple as possible, and adding the one week..don't care who plays who, divisional, nondivisional..whatever, don't care...OR...keeping regular season as is and expanding the playoffs a week

Shit, only way that works is if seeds 1 & 2 get 2 byes, otherwise you add 4 teams and its getting silly at that point, so nevermind, I didn't think it through all the way

Right now our schedule is 13 games.
2X all division opp 6 games
Play all in one other division 4 games
play the other two teams that finished the same as you 2 games
1 completely random game to round it out.
I would propose
2X all division opp 6 games
play all in 2 other divisions 8 games
14 game regular season and keep the normal 6 playoff teams
2X all division opp 6 games

I think 2 options, both are simple:
Add 1 regular season game since we don’t play everyone anyway.
Or, keep the schedule the same and make the championship 2 weeks long.

I'd actually be a bit more concerned that the Chiefs can't land a viable WR2 opposite Hill, or at least according to the rumors, that they've struck out on the offers they made this FA window.
Looks to be another deep class for WR here, a few potential X types and a lot of situational/slot types, both of which would do well as the 3rd option in the passing game for Mahomes
