until they make a change with the ball or the bat or bring the fences in, it's gonna be small ball.

It also has a bit to do with the direction the stadium is built.

The outfield is to the SE which happens to be the predominant direction of the wind this time of year. Our winds are from the SSE at approx 17mph right now and some days were as high as 25mph.

While the NCAA was slowing the bats down, Omaha was building a ball park taking fast bats into consideration.

I don't see them speeding up the bats so I'd expect the NCAA to go with pro stitching on the balls so they carry further.

Also Rosenblatt's outfield was to the NE, so a south wind carried a lot of balls out.

Poor Johnny was labeled a "shoebox", when it was really the wind and fsst bats that were responsible.
