We should sell a few players for prospects. With Lee out its a tank year anyway.

Again, who would buy what we are selling? And with their so far less than stellar performances, we'd be selling low. To get what? Some middling all-glove no-hit middle infielder that just turned 19? Are there any prospects you have an eye on? Not saying this isn't something to do, it just strikes me as more emotional than rational, and I am with you on that one.

Snell just pitched five innings of no-hit ball for Sacramento against OKC. One walk. Ten K's. Only 60 pitches.

Looks more ready now.
In his 2 rehab starts…

9 IP, 0H, 1 BB, 0 R

Minor leaguers, granted, but that is some domination, right there.

I know this is apples to oranges but Black dominated AAA and has been dominated in the big leagues so far. Hopefully, for Snell, it is the start of something and not an aberration.

Comparing a veteran, 2-time CY winner to a kid getting his first taste of the show is a little bit of a stretch.

That said, I am, in no way, claiming Snell is “all fixed”. Just pointing out that he has been beyond dominant in his rehabs. I actually would have liked to have seen him face some adversary, but if he is too perfect to get that far, who am I to argue?

I'm pretty sure Snell, Conforto, Soler, and Chapman have value (descending order).

How much value? Not sure. But we should be able to get off of the contracts.

McKenna doesn’t have any options, so he will have to join the big club.

My guesses for corresponding moves would be Lee to the 60 and Wisely sent down. No announcements yet, though.

Announced today that Cobb has shut down all baseball activities do to continued arm soreness.

I fear this could be all she wrote for Cobb. And some called me Chicken Little for being worried about him following his perfecto bid last year.

McKenna officially announced, but no 26 corresponding move has been announced. I would guess that will come tomorrow.

Lee added to the 60 to make room on the 40.

Claimed off waivers from Baltimore.
Bit of an odd pick up. He has accrued about a year's worth of stats now and has an OPS+ of 79 in the big leagues. Meanwhile, Ramos and Matos have done well since coming up and Yastrzemski has been getting better. Where does he fit in?

Churn. FZ has a 40 spot to play with, might as well try to add to minor league depth. And as much as Sacto has been decimated by SF injuries, we can use it.

I am fine with this kind of churn.

Except he cannot be sent to Sacramento, as you mentioned he has no options remaining.

I get that but my question is where does he fit for playing time for the week he gets thrown in the starting lineup before he gets dfa’d
Bench piece. I don’t see him starting. No point.
