What does this communicate to Willamson? "Kid, you did great in spring training. Unfortunately, you got hurt and about 8 other outfielders jumped ahead of you, including two that we signed and one that was also injured. Keep it up though, you may get lucky in September!"

Edit: By the way, Williamson was also optioned to Sacramento.

I suspect that a) Morse has a short leash AND b) Mac was probably not ready. He will be up within 3 weeks.

I have a feeling the Giants promised Morse a spot on the roster at some point in the Spring, or maybe when he was hurt they assured him when he was healthy he would be called up.

Well, there goes my theory about Dr. Andrews ALWAYS recommending surgery to make more money. Unless the Giants told him to fuck off.

But yeah it's sounding like two months of rehab, then a month building arm strength. So, maybe closer to August.

Really bad news for Chase. His numbers weren't good but they were okay. No walks and 9 Ks but also 11 hits in 10.3 innings with a 4.35 ERA.
