Lefty 99
Gonna head out to Oracle to say goodbye to Panda tonight. What a class act he turned out to be. He never should have left to go to Boston.
The grenade he tossed into the clubhouse when he left for Boston is still a black eye imho. But he is still a pretty damn solid Giant when all is said and done. This good bye tour he is doing is doing a lot to heal that bad mark, though.Gonna head out to Oracle to say goodbye to Panda tonight. What a class act he turned out to be. No Sanchez? No Black? weird. Would rather Roupp gets more time in AAA as a starterPer Baggs, it looks like Ahmed, Jefferies and Roupp will make the team.
That's 3 corresponding 40 man moves.
Bart, Hummell, VR?
I am thinking 1 start for Winn. And no reason not to use Snell in the pen while he is building his stamina.Miller instead of Jefferies is a mild surprise. Bart as a third C instead of a 13th pitcher is a mild surprise.
I guess Winn is the "fifth starter" for a turn or two. Cobb should be back soon.
I'm thinking this gives FZ a week or two to trade Bart.
So Teng goes down?![]()
Giants To Select Daulton Jefferies
The Giants will select the contract of right-hander Daulton Jefferies prior to Sunday's game against the Padres, manager Bob Melvin …www.mlbtraderumors.com
Bart was DFA’dSo Teng goes down?
Yeah, kinda an obvious move -- three catchers wasn't sustainable. Wonder if he clears waivers?Bart was DFA’d
I won’t be surprised either way. He has shown absolutely nothing in his pro career to say he is a prospect. He advanced up the ladder primarily on pedigree. But one of the crap teams could take a flyer on that pedigree and see if they can get anything out of him.Yeah, kinda an obvious move -- three catchers wasn't sustainable. Wonder if he clears waivers?
Another odd move. What was the point of waiting three games into the season to do this? Did they expect Bart to do something amazing enough while sitting on the bench to have another team suddenly clamor to trade for him?Bart was DFA’d
First, we can't know how much interest he was generating...maybe none, maybe some. Second, we can't know how much the Giants want to bring him back if he clears waivers.Another odd move.
