Yeah in the last two months, the Cubs have had 3 days off and the Rockies 5. Not a huge difference when you consider two full months. With two plane rides, we'll call it a wash.

If the Rockies had just beat the Nats on Saturday night, they'd be sitting at home watching all this.

Nonetheless, exciting game!
No, 46 games in 47 days is brutal. No team should have to do that. I don’t care if they had two rest days before that. Stop trying to legitimize your argument. Be real, man. You guys got the win, be happy.

I had Ottavino on my fantasy team in the middle of the year. I dropped him because of what you just showed, probably in August.

Bud Black just wet himself... Heyward yikes!
I know if i were managing, I'd let the relief pitcher hit and leave Heyward on the bench, he said sarcastically.

Why pull a pitcher when he is rolling and not in trouble?? Why bring a reliever in in the middle of an inning unless you absolutely have to??
Because as a manager you try to win games.
So far it's working.
Why are you comparing this game to something they do in Atlanta?
Atlanta ain't playing this game.

In General I think its a stupid move. Removing a Hot pitcher who is mowing the opposition down with a manageable pitchcount makes ZERO sense. He wasnt in any trouble, 2 outs and a runner on 1st.

I was going to argue Desmonds is worse, but I just looked up the contract...Jesus Christ that is bad.
It's still mind boggling how they even got to those numbers with him.....Ellsbury as well, had one very suspicious year and cashed in big time....I hope he never comes back......

As I recall, there was a rainout. That game had to be played.
They also had a bunch of guys called up from the minors on Sept. 1. Some of them could have played some games.

Maybe he will use his player option any of those years?
