If Chippy wants to make more moves in free agency, he's got to create more space. One way to do that is obvious: re-do Bradford's contract. If he does that, it's a sign he's keeping Bradford. But each day he doesn't signals to everyone else that Bradford may not be in Philly too long.
Chip does have Evan Mathis and his big contract on the trade block. But he needs to clear out more space to at least sign draft choices -- that's if he's got any left if he makes a move for Mariota.
