1950-2015...Michigan football lands at #8. Point and case.
No more than someone suggesting .5 of a national title exists. You've got to be kidding, right?
Because you're averaging 25 year spans with a 10 year span, genius. You can't average unequal data qualifiers; especially when by stopping at 2010 you're missing two of our better seasons in the last 10 years in 2011 and 2015. You could go through and average every decade ranking if you'd like, but you already provided that data and it's equal to Ohio State's.
And you're too much of a dumbass to realize that, again, 1 example does not prove something overall. You used possible the best case scenario in Ohio State. Few programs are going to beat Michigan's consistency using your same metric. Yes, Ohio State was slightly more consistent, but both programs have been extraordinarily consistent compared to most other teams. There are a handful of teams that you could find similar stats for. That's why there are Blue Blood teams and why there are others who aren't.Are you too much of a dumbass to realize they also have 3 other seasons in the top 20? Or in other words haven't had the ups and downs of that of Michigan? Or in other words haven't been as inconsistent?

God damn you're stupid. Why the fuck are you averaging things out when you even quoted a fucking tool that you can plug in the last 65 years and get a ranking?Okay, so average out the two 25 year periods and it comes to 10.
From 2001-2010 that same website has Michigan 34th.
From 2011-2015 Michigan is tied for 36th in win %.
That's how I know they aren't a top 10 program the last 65 years.
We have one. Or would you like to tell me what other team won the AP national title in 1997?And how many outright titles have Yer Boyz won in the time frame? Oh yeah...ZERO. Every other team mentioned in the 1st comment of this thread has multiple Natty's in that time frame.
1950-2015...Michigan football lands at #8. Point and case.
16th in what? What the fuck ranking are you quoting?Along with one national title, which ranks them...tied for 16th.
Can you read you moron? Who split the AP national title with us?Can you read? I said outright not shared Natty's.

Michigan is #8 in the last 65 years in win % according to your own link. The end. Stop being an imbecile.

My own link doesn't have complete data for the most recent years and puts us solidly in the top 10 teams of the last 65 years. You can't average 10 years into 25 year spans, especially leaving out the last 5 seasons. It's moronic and that math just doesn't fly.I'm just using your link because it has taken other things into account. Mine's strictly win % based. You posted that link to claim consistency, I then said they aren't a top 10 program the last 65 years according to that link, which is pretty obvious given the ranking from 2001-2010(using the same criteria) and win % from 2011-2015.
You don't seem to understand what outright means idiot. Please, tell me what other team won the 1997 AP national title, if you think we split it with someone and didn't win it outright. You dumbfuck...again I said outright Natty's. Do you even know the difference between an outright & shared title? Judging by this idiotic comment of yours ya have no clue.
In terms of national titles. But teams are not ranked on national titles alone. That combined with our top 10 winning percentage during that era solidly puts us in the top 10 in terms of overall rankings. I suspect that a lot of teams within that top 16 national title ranking, don't also have a winning percentage in the top 10 in the same 65 year span. For instance, Boise State finds itself on top of winning percentage, but has 0 national titles. They have ONE National Championship, since 1950 that's tied for 16th most over that time frame.

When talking about 10 year spans, 5 years is pretty important don't you think? You think the last 5 seasons are going to help Michigan? lol. Again 36th in win % from 2011-2015.
