They were just talking about Croix’s on M&M. They were pronouncing them “croy”. I always thought it was pronounced “cwaw“.

Does anyone know the actual pronunciation?

Then again, Murph says “wooves” instead of “wolves”, so I don’t think I should question my own pronunciation knowledge because of him…

As a French word, it is pronounced "cwah", with a subtle, deep in the throat "r"-roll with the "w".

Think of the proper pronunciation of the first syllable of "croissant".

"Croy" would be the ugly American bastardization pronunciation.

That’s what I thought. They were pronouncing it like they were in the trailer park.

It's "CWAH" not "CROY"

However, Wiscos will call it La CROY and the beverage the same.

I always called them the Craw de Stick.

However, I did spent many a delightful days in my youth canoeing on the St. Croix (Croy) River in Wisconsin.

So :noidea:
When I order a steak and a glass of wine at the restaurant, I ask for the “fill it mig non and a glass of peanut noyer.”

I get a good belly laugh out of it, but everyone else looks at me like an idiot.

Those humorless fucks.
