Rodney Crowell is an underrated talent.

I'm sure some misguided fool has posted that abomination that Patsy Cline did.

Not many could butcher a song quite like Patsy Cline.

I wanted to blow my brains out when I heard her version of Faded Love seeing as how Bob Wills is my biggest influence in my fiddle playing.

Oh well, to each their own. I like both Patsy and Janis... :D

Eh, to me, I'll never understand why people call Patsy Cline a Country singer. Had she not died young, I think she'd be like a Melba Montgomery and pretty well an afterthought today.

For Janis, she sounds like she needs to hock up a wad of cum lodged in her throat. Bonnie Tyler gives me the same impression.

Janis wanted to be country when she first started, but her best work was with Big Brother and the Holding Company. See could sing the blues better than most females at the time and she put on a helluva show. Linda Rondstat is one I don't care for.

I actually like Hank3 better than Hank Jr, too. Just really has some great tunes...

I'm a big fan of Hank 3. I especially love it when he sings some of Hank Sr's old songs.

But I can't put him ahead of Bocephus or Luke the Drifter. Definitely top 5 out there right now though.

I respect Janis, but I just can't get past her voice. She made Kris Kristofferson a lot of money, and I'm a huge Kristofferson fan.

I'm not a big Ronstadt fan either.

And it might be hard to tell from this conversation, but I have a fairly long list of woman singers that I love.

Hopefully Loretta Lynn is one... (my favorite of all the country women).

She tops my list.

Kitty Wells, Tammy Wynette, Pam Tillis, Patty Loveless, Lorrie Morgan, Lacy J Dalton, June Carter, Mother Maybelle Carter, Tanya Tucker(I know you don't like her, but I love her voice), Connie Smith, etc.
