Call me crazy, but I think filling out multiple brackets actually nullifies your ability to say you've "predicted" anything.

The very definition of a prediction is to tell something in advance of it happening. If you say one thing, and then at virtually the same instant say the exact opposite of that thing, did you really make a prediction at all? All you're doing is making multiple hedges so you can eventually claim the one with the most success as being representative of your ability to prognosticate.

I call poppycock.

I would rather have 10 lottery tickets than 1 for the same price. If you are entering ESPN's challange or any other challenge that pays out real money and you are allowed to fill out multiple brackets, then you are an idiot if you don't do it. Plain and simple.

What I do is I create my very first bracket and label it "My Predictions". That is the bracket I use for the office pool. The other ones are freebees with a shot at getting lucky.

Albany has better shooting percentages(3PT,FG,FT) than Oklahoma, and Albany has the tallest player on the court... I know those stats don't mean much, but for an Albany alum, I want to believe...

East Wash winning 1 game in all 3. Wofford winning in 1.


It seems there is always 1 - #1 seed that gets beat during the first weekend. NC State over Nova? Doubtful it's Duke or Wiscy. Purdue has 2 - 7 footers and plays tight D!

Concerning the side discussion going on about number of brackets to fill out: I have the one bracket in the SportsHoopla pick'em and this is the only one that really matters here.

I also filled out a couple more, just for fun. They wouldnt come up in conversation here, unless I won or did extraordinarily well on one of them. That would be kinda cool.
