I would have given that $12 million to Earl Thomas, offered Witten $2 million, Sean $3 million, and if they turned it down, told them we would see them again at their Ring of Honor inductions
I agree. I really dont like this 12 million going to a TE and LB well past their primes. Lee will probably tear a hamstring while stepping off the bus during training camp. The money would be better spent on Earl Thomas.I would have given that $12 million to Earl Thomas, offered Witten $2 million, Sean $3 million, and if they turned it down, told them we would see them again at their Ring of Honor inductions
I think the same day you posted that someone else posted a tweet a little later saying $5M. Who knows. Spotrac shows $3.5M but no details. Maybe it's $3.5M in salary and a signing bonus or games played bonus of $1.5M making it a total of $5MOdd, I thought Witten signed for 3.5M. I guess we'll have to wait for the full details.

Im not so sure that they wont rework lee's contract at some point soon
I see three options.Im not so sure that they wont rework lee's contract at some point soon
I see three options.
Option one which is my preferred option play Lee at Sam. If this is the plan I give him his full salary and look out league.
Option two Lee is a backup/rotational guy. If this is the plan his cap hit needs to be reduced.
Option three Lee retires or is cut - hope this doesn't happen.
