No, the U TE lines up in a variety of different positions. Not just in the slot.

All TE's line up in the slot... So, does the TE position not exist? Burton will not be exclusively lining up in the slot. Kelce was the U TE in Kansas City and often lined up with his hand down on the LOS. Delanie Walker is a U Tight End. Is he a TE or a WR?

I would take dez at a cheap price. He will probably not be cheap. He should go to philly.

Dez will likely make some decent coin for whichever team signs him, but to me that will be based on 3 parts hype to 1 part remaining talent. He's just not the player he was during his PB years, which ended back in '14. I'm sure he'll be motivated to prove that the Cowboys blew it by not signing him, especially if he's picked up by one of the NFC East squads. But motivation can only carry you so far and for so long.

Giants just dropped Brandon Marshall for failing a physical. Could he be brought in to be a bandaid to fill cam Meredith’s role? He wouldn’t be our number one guy, and he might still want a big contract, but I think he could more than fill the role Meredith would’ve played.

Must we go over the catastrophe that wound up being (when he was actually good too) and how this current front office jettisoned him as quickly as humanly possible upon taking over?

Not saying don't post about it. You brought up an idea and I gave my opinion.

I just can't even imagine a that there's a fraction of a percentage chance that Marshall is a target for Pace.

If we could sign him for an incentives-laden contract without any big cap hit, sure, why not. However, he may not fit what Nagy and co have in store for our receivers crew. I always liked Brandon, a fantastic receiver and one of the most underrated blocking wideouts in the league.

Dez doesn't seem to fit Pace's mold.
Has nothing to do with his ability or talent.
Dez is one of those players who seem to feel they're "entitled."
Even Cowboys fans think he's a headcase.
Among other things, Pace targets guys with character. i.e. no Dez
I'm all for that.
