The read on this play is not the middle LBer, it is the DE or McKinzy. 58 saw what was about to be a fake instead of a handoff and chased quickly down the line to tackle Elliot. Prescott read it correctly and ran into the vacated area.

Couldn't get off the field once again. Penalties a plenty have doomed the Skins this 1st half. Told dad earlier this week I wouldn't complain, (had this game as a loss) and I won't however, since Gruden cannot pass, catch, block or do anything on the field, I will continue to ride his sorry arse out of town. Keeping Manusky around another year was basically signing his own ticket out of DC.

So this is why I agree with those that think this is Gruden's last year, which seems to be most of us. Gruden can coach offense. He can't get a team to play without mistakes. The repeat errors … holding, roughing the QB etc. This team cannot overcome those kinds of mistakes.

we have to blame ourselves for penalties . we have rookies playing in key roles on defense and that will happen . its called growing pains
