I understand what you mean. Trust me. Like I said, I left the last board I was on because it was full of trolls. I am not gonna act like I was innocent in that though. I fed into it and became one of the bigger trolls. I got caught up in it and it was fun for a little bit, but like you said, we weren't talking football anymore, we were fighting football, and I just couldn't deal with it anymore. I haven't been here long, so I don't know to what extent you have to deal with that, but from the little time I spent here and from what I heard about this board before..... I can't see it being as bad as most boards out there. I thought these boards don't really deal with trolls?

I can tell you from my stand point that I am done with trolls, so I would have ignored this guy anyway, but seeing as how the majority of you Cowboys fans don't really see eye to eye with this guy enables me to be able to talk football with you guys easier, instead of lumping you all in with this guy/

I am not gonna tell you to stay, because you have to do what is right for you. I know I couldn't stand posting at that last board because of the trolls. You seem like a good guy and definitely having you around would make talking to you Cowboys fans much easier from my perspective and I am sure others.

Give it time. One of two things will happen.

They'll be given a chance to show they can be decent posters or

Why don't ya'll ignore them as I have over the years lol. All I do is laugh at the post, ignore the ones that are ignorant, and reply to the ones worth replying to. It has saved me a lot of arguing and headache to be honest. Its life ya'll ignorance is all around us.

Oh btw I think we all need to learn to make this our new home as the past is the past and it should be left at that. The old forums are gone, the memories remain, some friends are lost, but we who remain need to get along to make this as good of if not better than it ever has been before. I know I was on the other boards for 12 years or so, and at 30 I don't have the time I use to have to go hunt around for new boards to talk Cowboys with fans and rivals a like; so like I said can't we all just get along?

Lol bro, I had to learn it trust me. There are times where I just want to slap the shit out of someone; but than I realize that it is up to me to not allow another to control my emotions or dictate my actions. Just think of it this way at the end of the day what will arguing on a computer get you besides finger cramps? Also why would you ever let someone control you, by allowing you to get into your feelings and playing into their games? Not worth it, I'm looking forward to a new beginning although I will miss the memories and friends that we lost along the way.

Oh, ok...... Probably why I don't remember seeing you. I got along with most Cowboys fans just fine on ESPN. It was Giants fans that I had problems with. I didn't harp on Cowboys fans with baseless crap like most do. I hope to get along with all of you too, so we can have good debates come football time.

That's exactly right. Everybody gets enough rope to hang themselves. The mods have a good understanding of infamous ESPN trolls, however everybody gets a chance to reform. Hang in there, the trash will be taken out.

I go to wherever there is football talk (on cowboy boards) I try & stay away from general boards. I kinda feel like I am without a home right now, so I have been floating around & where there is talk I'll post. So far I seemed to have posted here more than anywhere else. Hell I don't care if they (FWD & Robin) create their troll like threads. I can avoid them if I wish. What I would worry about is when the troll like substances aren't getting enough attention in those threads, they bleed into all the other threads spewing the same thing ruining all the threads. Which at that time is to much work to try & step through without it getting on your shoe. So as long as that doesn't happen they can have their own particular thread as far as I am concerned. As far as Threads disappearing out of the blue, I think this place has a brain & isn't gonna just get rid of a good thread because someone ask for it to be removed (or however that was working over there). So I am not as worried about that here. (yet anyways)
As far as good ol trash talking between other teams fans & ourselves. Some of that is entertaining. I have debated the eagles & Cowboys with Malco & we get our lil' digs in here & there, but it is all in good fun I believe both sides look at it that way (kinda like oh that was a good one) then continue the debate. Sometimes I find it enlightening when arguing with another teams fans, (that isn't just you guys suck style) I find Malco brings some intelligence to a debate making people use intelligent thought to battle that debate. I personally find that entertaining, & like seeing others points of views that may not be the same as mine without the troll like substance.

So all in all it seems this place has gained more traction of the places I have been peeking into, & think it would suck if a few chase off some that can actually talk football, or if the place gets over policed because of a few that enjoy ruining boards.
As far as a few of the posters I would worry about. it is easy enough for me to avoid them if they keep their bait shops contained to a thread. A bit harder if it goes the way of ESPN where it ends up in all the threads.

Twist I think you should just take a deep breath & attempt to ignore the select few. You know they enjoy the attention you are giving them. Just treat them like an Ex-Girlfriend that is trying to push your buttons. The nicer you are to them the madder they will get
the more mad you seem, the happier they get.
