7-9. Weak offensive line and running game. Change in defensive scheme will likely have it's growing pains. Garrett isn't going to be around much longer. Can't necessarily blame him though, he's undermined and really has very limited authority on this team. And until Jones takes himself out of the equation, the Cowboys will struggle to have success.

LOL....just saw this bovey and found it very interesting since I joined the board three days after you posted this. Twenty five posts in on a topic about Dallas's record among cowboy fans and you drop this in the discussion? The same guy who stays up at times and talks about my prediction for Washington at 6 to 8 wins on both this board and the Washington board? You do understand when I said the norm, I was referring to record and being a contender and nothing about who played QB.

Now here is whats really funny about your rants with all that is me and my opinions of Washington. Yours stated above are the basic opinions of national sports media analyst types found on ESPN and the NFL Network. Least my opinions based on my opinions which remain the continued health of the oline and what I think of the OVERALL talent you guys field on defense. You want to glossy over the fact that merriweather wasn't all that good when he did play before Washington, fletcher is another year slower and Hall and some rookies will man the islands while you play more rookies and NFL vets with coverage liabilities at safety.

Wow....and you think I don't talk football? WELL...I don't repeat the 10pm sports analyst opinions on the skins board as you did here on this page. I also think your opinion of all that is Dallas is most likely your read opinions of Dallas from the Washington Post Sports section. That would be redskin fan poster boy to me and we both know that's been my stated opinion for many years on Washington fans in general. Dallas remains your benchmark as a skins fan. You are my definition of the poster boy Washington fan....again something I've stated for many seasons now on chat boards. I'm not wrong because of one season and one eastern division championship. Not when you were up 14 at home and lost to be 0ne and done. slam jerry jones and say we will have little to no success all you want but shit...jerry and Romo have done that during this teams darkest period.

YET...MY 6 to 8 win prediction is so much worse than what you said above (and at a time you said was great because I wasn't here and everyone just talked football). I'm sorry bovey, you can make the rules on the Washington board BUT not here.

I think two critical things have to happen for the Cowboys to make the playoffs (10-6) 1st Murray needs to rush for 1100+ yards. 2nd this defense has to cause turnovers....don't even have to be a top rated defense just need those timely turnovers like the Saints were able to produce during their SB run. This is the Year Garrets team has to prove the have turned the page if not keep the young core with 3-5 veterans if they are willing to restructure and move on. Tired of being like a dog chasing his tail. Hire best available couch Gruden would have the leg up cause he's familiar with cover 2, but I would still love to have lovie whom I also believe is familiar with this defense.

I think this is the year that Dez becomes inarguably a top 5 wr. Thats important because what it will do for Murray, Romo, and the young wo's. 100+ catches double digit T.D. and injury free. I think this team has the chance to silence the critics this year. Claiborne has to be a Shutdown Corner this year on defense.

Until your starters can remain healthy which is a big question mark I have to guess another 8 and 8/ or 7 and 9 season. Possible stretch for a 9 and 7. Your schedule is softer than ours so that may help keep you in the mix as I think no team in division will run away with anything. You guys just don't have the depth that the Skins have to keep you afloat when things start breaking down. Not being a typical Redskin fan I just believe this to be true. I'm not banking on Giants or Eagles to win division. I believe it will be one of our two teams even with a 9 and 7 record.

"You guys just don't have the depth that the Skins have to keep you afloat when things start breaking down"

can you explain this?
I'll give you depth at QB & RB
I'd be real interested in knowing how your team has more depth that Dallas at WR, TE, OL, DL, LB, CB and safety

I don't know of the depth the you speak of. Other than Garçon who is often hurt all of the skins wr or unknowns except Moss who is getting old. Same thing at TE. Awesome running back play from Morris RGIII has proven him self Awesome approaching elite, again can he stay health. You guys like to talk about our new defense, but fail to note the revamped defensive backfield thats full of rookies and Hall who is a decent corner. Like all teams the Skins have weakness Shocker I know. I expect this division again to be settled in the final 2 weeks of the schedule. I think this year Dallas edges the Skins out. I do think the Skins are a good team and it will be a fight to the end. What I don't believe is that the Skins are light years ahead of the Boys Like so many Skins fans have suggested. Just my opinion.

I didn't say at every position, but LB I would say we do or we're close to being even. Even at WR I would give the edge to Wash. Miles aint half the reciever he was when he got his mega-contract and Williams hasn't played a regular season game. Just because you have Dez doesn't make a team. That little Welker type clone you have can't remember his name hasn't really done anything that Aldrick Robinson our 5th WR hasn't done. You have us at Corner by far but most teams do at this point in time. Our defensive line has looked great this preseason and our OL who remains healthy is far better than yours. I know you love your team but you have to reason here.

As injured as Miles was last year he still manage to go for 943 yrds last year. I will take Dez, Witten, Austin, and the trio of Harris, Beasley and Williams over anything the skins have. I also believe Dunbar who i'm on record last season for saying sucks will be a more than solid backup to Murray.

I agreed I Don't think any one's fighting you gave your honest assessment I would like for you to justify your opinion other then just "blindly" supporting your team. We get So many fans from other teams that say my team is good your teams sucks, but so few actually can say here's why. I won't wish the Skins Good luck so.....Good health how's that.:suds:

you brought nothing here
"Miles aint half the reciever he was when he got his mega-contract and Williams hasn't played a regular season game"

OR

"Just because you have Dez doesn't make a team"

Frankly....I'm not shocked, BUT you do have a cool logo working

I love the NFCE. I think that it is truly the best rivals in the NFL. This year the NFCE is going to come down to that last two games of the season and they are against each other.

Dallas vs Washington (based on no key injuries)

Offense
QB-Wash(small edge). My reasoning is that RG3 has more of an upside then Romo. Romo will get his numbers, but he has been doing this for Years. If RG3 has all of his weapons this year he will have a far better season and with his running ability, he opens the deep ball with out needing a great running attack.

RB-Wash. Morris and Helu are a better 1-2 punch then Murray and Dunbar. The Oline opens holes and will be in their second year together.

WR-DAL(small edge). Dal has Dez and Miles then there is a big drop off in production. Wash had to use all their receivers last year do to injuries witch I feel will give them lots of options this year.

TE-DAL(small edge). Witten is another year older and gets used a lot and again it is a big drop off in that position. Davis should have a career year and we have 3 TE's that would play on just about any team.

OL-PUSH- Both lines have issues. Wash has the ability to have a second full year with the same line and they are healthy again this year. The running attack helps us out along with a mobile QB. Dal running attack will have to show up early because if teams can just send a rush they will be in trouble.

Defense
Front 7-Dal(small edge)(lumping together due to different schemes)-the only reason I give it a small edge is I think Rak and Kerrigan will make for a great watch. Ware and SPencer will have to adjust to being more heads up on the Tackles and I feel they will handle it quite well. Lee and Fletcher are some of the best in the game. This is going to be fun games to watch this year.

CB-Dal. Wash has too many ?? at this time. By week 6 this could be totally different.

S-Dal(small edge). I think our young guys will step it up and it will be closer then people think it will.

Overall-Too close to call. I thing the X-factor in RG3 gives us an edge head to head. Week 6 is going to fun to watch.

Here are my views on this rivalry.

''Don't have the depth the Skins have''. Considering it went down to the last day of the season with all the Skins great depth, I'm assuming Redskins nation's hopes ride on the Cowboys losing another 6 defensive starters to injury this year. Good luck with that. 11-5

I think this is a pretty fair assessment. I also give the skins an small edge at QB, but to add to yours. you guys have a better back up then us if a nightmare falls on our starters. (IMO)
