I'm not sure why you think the Utah game "could be ugly"? Michigan returns a solid defense and kept our defensive coordinator on staff and added like 3 NFL coaches to the defense.

Additionally, it's not like Utah was some offensive super power last year. They didn't finish in the top 40 in any major offensive statistic. As bad as we were, we only lost to them 26-10. Mostly thanks to Gardner's 3 INTs.

+Harbugh. We have Harbaugh now, not Hoke. I expect to win this game as we should out-talent Utah by quite a bit.

Well, I guess my expectations changed since May and my more recent predictions prove that. I was right about something though in that post. The game wasn't "ugly" in Utah's favor. Our defense held them in check the entire game. Unfortunately it was those same 3 INTs that lost us the game...again.

The problem is you said many times since May they were gonna take care of business to open the season. It's all good though.

And for the most part, we did. We were better in most facets of the game. Unfortunately I couldn't predict the QB that only threw 5 INTs last year would throw 3 in one game. I'm tired of that btw. Out performing a team but losing because we can't not turn the ball over.

6-6 is a victory as far as I'm concerned. Harbaugh will make an impact, just not the "We are instantly relevant again" one most Michigan homers were hoping for. Personally, think they take a second Utah based pounding week #4 with BYU. Not going to jump up and down about it, because after watch my teams performance last night, I think, in Provo we are BYU's bitch too.

I guarantee we do better than 6-6. Our defense seems to be elite this year and our offense should be good enough to score enough points to win more than 6 games.

Utah, with a Heisman candidate at RB and a senior QB, could only score 17 points on us at home. I think you're too loosely using the term "pounding". We get BYU at home and expect we will be equally, if not more, competitive against what should be a worse team.

I said it once 5 months ago - so long ago I don't even remember saying it. In many of my season prediction threads I put my true predictions out there. 8-4 is totally reasonable and most thought Utah would be one of those 4 losses. Even with MSU/OSU in the loss column, that gives us 1 more game to lose between BYU, Minn and PSU. I think we can as least win 2/3 of those games.

They could lose to another Pac team in Oregon St.
UNLV, well they suck. If Michigan keeps turning over the ball could be an upset in the making lol
BYU, that is a toss-up. Favoring BYU
At Maryland. Probably an easy game. But maybe they give up since they are already 0-4 at this time.
Northwestern. We will see how good they are against Stanford. Another upset special.
Michigan State. They wont beat them.

I was predicting anywhere from 6-9 wins for Michigan this season, basically covering worst and best case possible coming into the season IMO. Obviously, they look to be at worst now at least an 8 win team(worst case losing to NW, MSU, and OSU) but I don't think they lose all three since they are all at home. At PSU could be a tricky game, but they aren't very good. With that said, I still don't think this team has elite talent on the roster(outside of Peppers and Butt), which I think is being fair. Just speaks to how good of a job Harbaugh is doing.
