Haven't heard anything solid on a trade for this man yet.

Could Buffalo be keeping him in the hopes or resigning him to a contract more his size. I mean he is a legit 3rd liner with utility on the penalty kill. Wouldn't be against the team resigning him for 2 years in the 1.75-2 million a year range.

There were minor rumors involving him, but today absolutely nothing.

Yeah, I mean if we don't trade him for at least a draft pick, and then don't resign him it will be a complete waste. Don't make me bang my head through the wall again Regier....

Staying put.

Darcy sidesteps the question about whether he had any offers for him even. Reads to me that nobody even offered him anything for Connolly. Maybe because of his ridiculous contract.

Not any more a rediculous contract than that of our new Winger boyes.

Last season and this season Connolly has 25 goals, and 66 assists for 91 points and makes 4.5 million a season.

Last season and this season Boyes has 26 goals, and 57 assists for 83 points and Makes 4 million a season.

The difference, Connolly's contract is up at the end of this year, and we're stuck with Boye's contract for another year....

The upside with Boyes is that he's only missed 1 game in 6 seasons and has scored 40+ points in all 6 seasons as well.

Giving up a 2nd round pick for him wasn't that bad of a trade at all. And his production at 4 mil is sure a hell of a lot better than what Connolly is doing at 4.5 mil and what Pommers is doing at 5.3 mil this year.
