Exactly what would Bell gain by doing this? I know what he would lose, over 8 million dollars, close to nine million. I don’t think that would make him anymore attractive next year to other NFL teams. So he would do this.......why? 8 million isn’t something to sneeze at.

I would not rule it out.

Bell also has mentioned retirement on multiple occasions. Sometimes it is about more than money.
