Tua has signed a 4 year contract. He has done everything that he can to make himself into the best player possible for the team. I am thinking the Fins will win a championship within the next 4 years. It could be this year. There is so much talent on this team.

Tua is made for this offense; quick release, anticipation, accuracy.

The Fins are going to be fun to watch in all three phases of the game.

Let's go Fins!

The salary cap keeps going up. These overpaying teams will be alright.

He definitely showed he was a clutch player in college. He just needs to show it in the playoffs.

Paolo has to be estatic about this. Fins really had no choice and I think with the team they have in place they couldn't not sign him and potentilally tear the team down and rebuild again. I give him three years, if team stays with same/similar talent to win at least a AFC title or AFC title game appearance or then Fins may need to move on??

This year Tua has four goals IMO, needs to show he can lead team to W's over teams that are playoff caliber, win a playoff game and greatly reduce his turnover rate. And last but at least, stay healthy.

You hope. Veterans actually want to play for the Fins. The Pats will be paying top dollar. Players want top money or a chance to win.

It's going to be a long season for you Southieinnc. Do you think the Pats will be able to take the 3rd spot in the AFC East? I am thinking the Jets will be better than the Pats this year.

Honestly, I have no idea. We still have practice in pads, joint practice, and preseason games and injuries. Could be good or could be very bad. Ask me for a Pats prediction when preseason is over. It will be a successful season if we show improvement and Miami does not win a playoff game. Maybe I’ll get both?

"According to Spotrac, the Dolphins are now $71 million over the projected salary cap in 2025. It's going to take a lot of financial wizardry just to get the team cap compliant by the start of the new league year in March."

I've heard 40 M over next year and they have 40 sitting in the bank right now if they don't spend it that is. They can still restructure some deals too. I'm not worried...

I am not worried either. Chris Grier is a master at balancing the budget.

Tua played like a champ against an excellent D line and without his top two WRs in preseason game number two. He looks ready for week 1.

On defense, they look much improved under the new DC. It's early but this looks to be a complete team.

I am thinking playoff games in the ☀ sunshine state with a legit chance for a superbowl championship. Let's go Fins!

Hopefully Tus is in a better state mentally after getting paid and getting the situation with Flores off his chest !!

"Tua Tagovailoa got paid, but only his on-field performance will silence critics. After all, the Miami Dolphins quarterback has a 1-3 career record with a 58.6% completion rate and a 65.0 QB rating in January. Not all of that falls on him, as an injury-plagued Dolphins offensive line has consistently had holes. Unfortunately for Miami, there’s just no reason to believe things get better considering Robert Hunt is gone, Terron Armstead nearly retired and there are concerns at other spots. All of it means that come January, Tagovailoa and the Dolphins’ offense will disappear again in the playoffs."

You hope the Fins' offense will disappear. I wouldn't count on it. The Fins have drafted a quality LT; Paul. He has stood out against good pass rushers. The Fins addressed that lack of depth at tackle.
RE the guard position: The Fins could be alright if the get and stay healthy. They could also add a guard from the waiver wire or in a trade.
Last year Tua, Hill and others on offense focused on getting Hill the ball to get him 2,000 yards. They have been open about that not being a good idea. This year they will spread the ball around better.

Fins fading or not makes no difference to me unless if and when the Patriots are competitive again.
We are still rebuilding.......
