Former Pro Bowl tight end and two-time Super Bowl winner Todd Christensen died, according to BYU athletics. He was 57.
Christensen, who played running back at BYU from 1974-77, died from complications from surgery, according to Brigham Young University. He had been dealing with liver issues, according to the Daily Herald in Provo, Utah.

Damn! That is sad. And still pretty young.

Once a Dirtbag, always a Dirtbag.
Troy Tulowitzki, before he slugged for the Colorado Rockies in Major League Baseball, played college ball at Long Beach State. And he has not forgotten where he came from. Tulowitzki, the Orange County Register reports, has pledged $1 million to his old school to help it renovate Blair Field, where the "Dirtbags" play.
Though the official nickname of the sports teams at Long Beach State is the 49ers, the baseball team goes by Dirtbags, affectionately so. They've sent a lot of players to professional baseball, including at least 42 to the majors — most notably Tulowitzki, Evan Longoria, Jered Weaver and Jason Giambi. Tulo played there from 2003-2005.
A million bucks is a lot of money, even though Tulo has earned nearly $30 million in his career and stands to make at least $118 million by the time his current contract is up. Though his donation might seem more noble were he giving money to the science department or a scholarship fund for underprivileged students — and heaven knows science needs the help — but those worthy causes are not what put him in a position to give back. Baseball is, Tulowitzki says, and he wants the program to stay nationally visible and viable:

“There’s no doubt it's a lot of money, but at the same time I wouldn't want to give it to anybody else other than this university,’’ Tulowitzki said. "I know it's going to be well spent.”
Tulowitzki also urged others to help out if possible.
"I think we’re at a time to get where, to get recruits, they look at facilities," he continued. "It’s huge and I think it’s going to make our team that much better, get us back right there in the national championship talk. So I’m excited to see the progress. I will definitely be coming back to the school more, hitting in the new cages, seeing the new field. I’m excited about that opportunity.”

Brian Wilson will not be a Yankee. And, it's all because he won't shave the beard.

All part of Obama's long ago promise of change.

Maybe someone should have clarified that we are only interested in GOOD change........

it's mostly your fault

and bigD automatically gets 20% of every fault by default

so it's 80% your fault, 20% bigD's fault, by default.

Lucky for me, I am long used to being blamed for damn near everything....
