Empty stats? Jokic was the only player to lead his team in pts, rebs, asts, stls, blks this season. Those aren't empty stats. He also led the league in double-doubles & trip-dubs.
He got the Nuggets into the playoff missing the teams 2nd & 3rd best player. And spare me any Ben Simmons bullshit you might mention. Simmons refusing to play isn't the same as a team missing multiple starters due to injuries all season.
First of all, regular season award. Second of all, proof positive that Embiid had more help, right?
They've held serve this round, at least keeping it interesting at minimum.I am just kidding. I don't care about awards at all. I just hope Philly can win another championship in my lifetime. They haven't won an NBA title since 1983, and have not been in the finals since 2001.
Embiid is the first 5 to lead the league in scoring since Shaq in 99-00. And the first 5 to average over 30 PPG since Moses Malone in ‘82.When you have historical numbers involved, that sways people pretty easily.
Look no further than this series for the proof. No Embiid on the floor and Miami skates to a 2-0 lead. Embiid comes back and there’s a night and day difference at both ends of the floor. Meanwhile, in back to back playoffs Jokic was hunted and targeted because he’s a defensive liability.First of all, regular season award. Total bullshit, that is all
It’s all good. Embiid is the people’s MVP.Total bullshit, that is all
Being home vs away has alot to with that as well.Look no further than this series for the proof. No Embiid on the floor and Miami skates to a 2-0 lead. DeAndre Jordan on the floor had the Sixers giving up something like 146 per 100 possessions haha. The best offense in the NBA this season averaged 1.18 points per possession this season. With Jordan Sixers were giving up 1.62 haha. It’s much more than home away stuff. We will see Tuesday night. Embiid is the glue.Being home vs away has alot to with that as well.

And what are they with him? A 6 seed and a first round exit.I know it will probably give you an allergic reaction, but look at the regular season stats for their respective teams.
Over 15 ppg: Sixers (Embiid 30.1, Harden 21.1, Maxey 17.5, Harris 17.2); Nuggets (Jokic 27.1)
Over 4 assts: Sixers (Harden 10.5, Maxey 4.3, Embiid 4.2); Nuggets (Jokic 7.9, Morris 4.4)
Over 7 reb: Sixers (Embiid 11.7, Drummond 8.8, Harden 7.1) Nuggets (Jokic, 13.8)
Over 15 PER: Sixers (Embiid 31.24, Harden 21.84, Drummond 19.38, Maxey 16.27, Harris 16.00) Nuggets (Jokic 32.94, Cousins 17.71, Gordon 15.38)
PER is an imperfect stat, but still shows Embiid's help advantage. 15 is considered league average. Jokic's above league average teammates were his backup and Gordon (barely). Even if Cousins/Drummond and Gordon/Harris more or less cancel each other out, Embiid still has Harden (previously Curry) and Maxey.
Denver without Jokic is probably picking in the top 5.
Who said it wasn’t? It still shows the value of Embiid to his team. That's on your GM and coach. The Lakers dumped Jordan and replaced him with a PG lol; that's how ineffective he was down low.
And what are they with him? A 6 seed and a first round exit.
Yep look at the PHX-DAL series. Everyone was saying sweep, the crowd means everything in the world and honestly the home teams seems to just play better defense. Crazy how it works but it's the truth. MIA went ice cold. PHX went luke warm.Being home vs away has alot to with that as well.
Playing a lesser schedule.2 games difference from the Sixers in regular season wins.
25 wins to 48 wins. Almost doubleAnd what are they with him? A 6 seed and a first round exit.
