I actually thought the celebration was pretty funny, but after 7 days of "Vernon Davis has finally grown up" rhetoric from the media that might not have been the best timing for it...

he's becoming a superstar this post-season though

yeah, I like the lambeau leap actually. But you're right under the rules that probably should be a penalty. maybe it was bc he used the equiptment as a prop...not suprising that drew a flag. If he woulda lept into the crowd like the LL he'd of probably been fine.

The announcers said the Lambeau Leap and any similar celebration (e.g. Dawg Pound) is "grandfathered" in as an exception. Davis used a prop. Good call.

As for Davis. The celebration followed up by that stupid personal foul penalty was night and day from the emotion he showed after the victory last week. Just doesn't make sense.
