Compton says the defense will be back

He says this season will remind us more of 2009.........

He says the progress they've made is already like night and day compared to last season.............that everyone knows what's going on this season and is on the same page........and that the fans don't understand what the year of development and off-season does for the returning players.......

He says it's frustrating because he wants to show us all right now how good they are, but he has to wait a month........

Did he just dig his own grave with these words? Could a defense possibly get THAT much better one year after setting some all time Husker lows?

I don't remember a whole lot of seasons ever where players stepped up to the mic before Fall Practice begins and say that we are going to be great.

I mean, I can tell you right now..........if our defense is even half way to where 2009's defense was, this is going to be a damn good season.

I already know for a fact our offense is going to produce more than enough to win games..........yep, that's right.......write it down, it's a fact.

It's the defense that needs to be improved. Special teams should be outstanding this season. Defense...........defense..........defense. That is all.
