Hey all - I know we haven't met in person, but I do consider a lot of you guys as friends, as we've battled on the imaginary gridiron for a long time now, and regularly converse here throughout the year. Talk to some of y'all more than I do with some of my close friends!

As some of you know, I recently started a new job with an engineering firm that specializes in beverage/pharmaceutical processing equipment, and they've recently started to dabble with CBD extraction equipment as well. Think big stainless steel tanks that have custom agitation or mixing features and piping in a production facility - any industry could apply.

Tapping into the network here, if anyone has any connections with any manufacturers, breweries, distilleries, etc, I'd greatly appreciate any virtual introductions that could be made to expand my sales network. Willing to toss a small reward anyone's way if their connections turn into an actual deal down the road. Lots of places are firing up capex projects that they put on hold last year, so figured it was worth a shot to see if anyone here can help a brother out in a new career. The Chicago Bears made a bid to purchase Arlington Park race track (horses) in the suburb of Arlington Heights. (No word yet on whether the Bears were awarded the bid.) Doubters will say this is a bluff by the Bears to get the city to commit to upgrades at Soldier Field.

Alrington Park is owned by Churchill Downs.

Next, the Bears announced/confirmed they have a partnership with Bet Rivers Casino.

Having never been to Chicago, I certainly cannot speak intelligently on their specific set of circumstances, but, in the bigger cities I have spent time in, gone to events in, in general, I would say that those cities who have their major event venues in the suburbs, or just outside the city, are a much more enjoyable experience. Easier to get in, easier to get out, more parking, the areas around the stadiums and arenas are nothing but restaurants, bars, and hotels-most of whom are likely in business with the team in some capacity or another, all of which means more $$, for the team at least. If I were a team owner, I'd certainly be interested in exploring those options.

Anyone ever been to a game at Metlife? I'm going tomorrow with my son. Planning on getting in town around 2:30 or 3 and trying to find a restaurant with a TV to grab a bite before the game starts (4:35pm). Any advice on parking or anything in general?

the hole Met Life Complex is surrounded by highways water and various theme parks

not very neighbourhood friendly per say ...though there is a bit of a neighbourhood on the northeast side...

there will be some action along highway 17 but access to that is a headache
