And as a fan of a team that traditionally never had that ability to switch from regular season mode to playoff mode.
Brett Hull ring a bell?
Adam Oates? Cavalini... Brind'Amour...
Bueller?

Those guys saw such little playoff success after so much regular season success in the 90s, it was super frustrating as a fan, and I was just a kid.

I went to a ton of games and almost every home playoff game between college and marriage. Your hawks, the Canucks, and kings trounced all of my hopes for like a decade.

They seemed to be a thorn in the side of the Blackhawks.

The Blues and the North Stars... don't even get me started on Dino Ciccarelli....

Right, funny how things cycle in sports for most franchises (fuck off Patriots!)

Ciccarelli.... man, the Red Wings/Blues had one of the most epic playoff series ever, I'll never forget Gretzky shanking that pass to Yzerman for that blue line OT winner. I really thought that was going to be the Blues' year, even more so than the year they won the president's cup with MacInnis and Pronger (possibly one of best D pairings in NHL history, def in Blues' history). That dirty bitch Nick Kyprios (sp?) took Grant Fuhr out with a cheap shot in the previous series vs Toronto, even tho backup played great, he wasn't Fuhr. I think that hit may have ended Fuhr's career, dont recall.

So Gettleman claims two teams would've taken Jones in front of them if they waited. NY media says it was WAS and DEN.

I meant to post this the other day. I don't know a whole lot about Gettleman except that I think he has a pretty good rep; that said, he better be right, 'cuz he is already taking a beating. And, no, I don't believe his claim.

Stars simply outpaced the Blues in game 4, then Bishop stopped everything possible in game 5.....quite the hole the Blues are in now.
Not looking good, but time to see what this team is made of.

Columbus better get their act together.
Might help if they play defense.

Much better game than the box score at the end today, ecstatic the blues didn't roll over and were ready to fight till the end

Dumb question for you: do you have bugs in Alaska? Like mosquitos.

Those fuckers are terrible up there in some places. I remember going camping one time and we opened the door and hundreds flew in. We had to leave in a hurry.
