this sounds good to me
Literally, one of the best offseason plans/mocks I have seen. We should count our lucky stars if we could pull that off:

Rebuilt OLine = check
Starting TE = check
Upgrade at LB = check
Depth all around the roster = check
Rookie shut down corner = check

I think finding a new starting TE is a massive need actually.

I think Payne is going to get more than what this guy said. Its a great plan it covers everything.

I still think we need a starting TE. Schultz or the Miami TE would help howell immensely.

I would pay Payne $20m/per if thats what the market bears, and he’ll sign for multiple years.

11.5 sack DT dont come around too often.
Agreed!! ...and it's time to start rewarding our own while keeping them here during their best years. If not mistaken, Kerrigan was the last to get this done and they still didn't know when to trade him for value.

I would for A-Hooker (potential new nickname) because he won't fall further than that unless the injury is worse than first realized. That said, if the team is seriously considering bringing in competition for Howell, and will move on from Heinicke and Wince, where does this competition come from?

I love Hendon Hooker but I do not think he is an NFL QB. I know Sty likes him and I can see why.

As a die-hard TN fan, Hooker is a product of Josh Heupel's gimmick offense. Heupel's offense is the new Spurrier-like offense in college. I don't see it translating to the NFL. The receiver mismatches and up-tempo are a nightmare for college defenses. The offense is predicated on WR running option routes and lining up at wide splits. I want Hooker to make it and to be a great NFL QB...I just don't see it.

There is a reason why all of Heupel's QBs put up monster numbers in college.

Hooker is a huge project and that injury scares me
If the knee is sound, project or not, you'd still have to bring in competition for the huge project recently named the starter for the 2023 season. What's the QB room looking like minus Heinicke and Wince?

I'd rather take like Haener or a Duggan later in the draft even guys like Bennett, Ward and Bagent are intriguing

Might as well be you, dad, or me if this is the move! At some point, Washington will have to start drafting a much higher pedigree over the ability to stand up and throw a football. Look around the NFL today and with very few exceptions, the very best were drafted because of elevated pedigree. I'm not saying that it can't be done, but you significantly increase your chances to strike gold when you dig in mines than you do when standing outside hoping that lightning strikes you.

24 looks to be the yr for the qb 23 after the 1st 4 guys looks like flierville in hopes of finding a purdy so if the next purdy is around i am looking at him later . i feel like o/line and LB need our attention if we cant get the qb

Need to fix the OLine, that should be priority one.
Fixing the OLine will do wonders and back bad things go away.

Call me old school but the lines of scrimmage are more important than people think.

You're not old school... time, no matter how much of it passes, won't ever change the truthfulness of your statement. I just don't think that it should be the top priority when the most important position on the field is QB.
