With Wentz headed for teh unemployment line, You feel better going after Carr and Jimmy, or would you prefer to roll with Howell and a mid-vet for a year?
another view
I agree and all this stuff falls on the guy who the redskins were forced to hire by the nflthis is true
I have said this for years.
i dont know what to say other then we are not on track to having a new owner in place till the summer . i cant see snyder firing RR and the whole staff and FO and try to hire someone as a one yr rental .I have said this for years.
I am not sure I will even tune in for 2023. Rivera will continue to destroy the roster, burn cap space, and let his yes men continue the circus play on the field.
It is what it is.i dont know what to say other then we are not on track to having a new owner in place till the summer . i cant see snyder firing RR and the whole staff and FO and try to hire someone as a one yr rental .
our only salvation is RR continues to draft well (which he has done mostly ) and he just focus' on resigning Payne and maybe holcomb and extending kurl
From reports we heard Wentz was a Dan deal. This has been said more than once.It is what it is.
Like you said, 2024 should really be the first year we see what the new front office has in store. I don't like it, but it is what it is.
I do not trust Rivera to attempt to acquire a franchise qb or develop them. It could be howell, we don't know. My fear is that he mortgages the future in an attempt to get carr. Rivera has proven that he is not competent when it comes to trades. Exhibit a...the carson wentz trade.

This not an endorsement for Ron but he has not been one of the worst HC's under Snyder.
All that said lets hope for much better under a new owner.
Yes, he was...along with the Philly front office.
Google Snyder wanting Wentz. For the record and to remind you, Wentz was Rivera's call and he himself has said that. ESPN even wrote about this.
How Joe Gibbs, film study and analytics led the Commanders to Carson Wentz
Ron Rivera and the Commanders let the NFL know they wanted a starting QB, then mapped out a strategy that led to Wentz. Here is how it went down.www.espn.com
Ron has been one of the worst HC under Snyder. Rivera had FULL control of the roster and has zero excuses. No other coach had FULL authority to do whatever he wanted and had these types of results.
Like Chiller, who embarrassed you multiple times, I am not interested in getting into any discussions with you because they are a waste of my time. I stated my opinion on several topics (Rivera, Wentz, and Turner) and was 100% correct on each one. You attempted to troll me and make jokes about my stances on these items. In the end, I was right on each one.
Instead of just admitting I was right like other posters, you continue to now find more things to disagree about. I am not biting Sportster. Find someone else to argue with, I am not interested.
It is not a narrative... it is quoting our head coach. So do we trust an anonymous and nameless source or Rivera himself? Rivera has said multiple times it is what he wanted. Skinsdad even posted the meltdown video of Rivera getting angry about being asked who wanted Wentz during a press conference. As usual, I have provided evidence...you have provided hearsay and conjecture.Google Snyder wanting Wentz.
The way you see it fits your narrative which is what you want but this smells of Snyder. At the very least RR had blinders on.
