Gruden got 5 plus season here as HC. RR hasnt even finished his 4th year yet. IMO it was the right move to fire Gruden after the 5 years. I already gave you my thoughts on RR. Not doing it again.

You don't have to because I know the answer.
The funny thing is that you have your favorites and non favorites. You hated cousins, gruden, and Heinkie.
You loved wentz and currently in love with Rivera, howell, and EB.

Gruden had a more successful tenure than Rivera when comparing their first 4 years and you know that. You just don't like gruden.

You won't answer my simple question because you like Rivera and are afraid to admit it. Every other commanders fan can answer yes or no if they want rivera to be here in 2024..except you. Why you literally need 4 full years to form an opinion on a coach who only has 3 winning seasons and 3 playoff wins in 12 years is one of the most bizarre things I have seen on this board. But it is what it is.

I truly look forward to having discussions with you once Rivera is shown the door. He was a mistake period and you will see that once we get the new GM and HC on place.

snyder hired zorn to be oc,but changed his mind and made him coach,a job he just was,nt yet qualified for.hate to see a new gm do that with eb.zorn should,nr have been hired as head coach in the first place so firing him was right.

Zorn was a bad hire...that is true. But, if we must have 4 full years of a coach to appropriately pass judgment, then Zorn and Spurrier should have been given more time according to that logic. For the record, I think Zorn and Spurrier were justifiably fired.

My apologies, Spurrier resigned in 2003 and was not fired. I knew things weren't going well but he resigned.

I think RR is an average coach. I dont dislike or like him. He is just ok. I want to see this year play out. I disagree with you that he is already fired before the season even started. This year matters IMO. If we do win this year, he deserves credit. If we lose this year he will probably be fired. He is on the hot seat always admitted that even before the season started. He has not done well as a GM, I agree with you about that. The 2022 draft class could do very well for us in finding our QB. RB, and #2 WR. If it does, RR deserves credit for that.

So to clarify

You need to see the full season play out so you can make an educated decision if you want him to be here in 2024?

If what you are saying is true, I can't for the life of me understand why a fan would want to retain an average coach and bad GM. In your mind, this year matters for some unknown reason and trumps the previous 3 poor years he has been here.

That is fine, but I literally cannot understand it. You have brought up the 2022 draft class a million times, but fail to bring up the 2020 2021, and poor 2023 class thus far.

I think that is why I don't follow your logic. You pick one fact and have that guide your opinion.

Example
Year 4 of rivera.
You want year 4 to play out so you can form an official opinion on Rivera.
Year 4 to you is more important than years 1-3 and is more important in your view than his CAR years. To you, a winning season in year 4 outweighs the fact that Rivera has not had a winning season in 5 years.

It is your opinion and that is fine. I have never been able to track or understand your point of view, but don't let that stop you. If this year is the make or break year for you...so be it. I truly hope you are wrong so we can get our team back and rid ourselves of the last snyder mistake.

But, dont let that influence your desire for keeping rivera and outlook on the team.

Lol...i.can admit I have taken breaks from the board multiple times....mainly due to this sort of thing.

The mentality mostly....actively supporting and defending Rivera tooth and nail. To me, it's like cheering a destructive dictator in power and applauding them as they go on their rampage.

Rivera is a good person...but a bad coach and terrible GM. I want the team back and he is the last roadblock to that. He is the last mistake of snyder that needs to be corrected...other than the name.

If someone doesn't see that...we must cheer for different teams.

That being said, if someone wants to support Santa Claus or Donald duck as the commanders GM, coach, or owner...best let them be. It's not right to try to force someone to see things your way. I am guilty of that in this situation and am wrong.

You can't force anyone to see things differently...even using facts and logic. People will do what they want for whatever reason. Trying to corner or drive someone to change isn't the best.

For my sanity...I am going back on break. Nothing to do with a poster or posters.

I am overly anxious for the season to get over anyways. I am most interested in pending changes...but that is me. The main goal is to find a GM and then a coach. I dont care what happens this year as long as those things happen.

No need for me to be the malcontent or Debbie downer. Anyone should feel free to support rivera, the team, whatever they want....

Posters are still following the team and hoping for wins/playoffs. I am not going to question that or cause confusion.
