We heard the same thing about Wentz. You said "we found our qb" in week 1. You jump the gun each year with your qbs.

Let me guess...we found our qb again? Are you going to do this every year?

Howell hopefully is it....we don't know until the season starts. He must beat out brissett first. He seems to be a bigger, and stronger arm version of Falco possibly.

Better arm. better athlete/runner, thicker build. I never considered TH more than a backup, I am hoping Sam is better than that.

I think Falco was a backup because of his physical limitations. Yes, he made awful decisions at times, however, if he was bigger and had a better arm, I think Falco would have been a much better qb and starter in the league. I think many of his poor throws were a result of the weaker arm. Just my opinion.

I am not trying to open a TH fan club. TH did have some moxie though.

The kid had heart, for that I respected him. His physical limitations are what make him a backup.

Howell doesn''t have the physical limitations other than height, now we have to see if he has quick decision making required in the NFL.

On offense, the team’s Achilles heel throughout much of the past three decades has been the lack of a true franchise quarterback. This gap has persisted through three seasons of Rivera’s tenure. Wide receiver and running back have become strengths of the offense, while tight ends have been middle of the pack by league standards. Aside from QB, the major current weakness on offense is the line. Rivera inherited one of the league’s top offensive lines, featuring All-Pros Trent Williams and Brandon Scherff, and allowed it to deteriorate into one of the worst units in the league in 2020. It has remained a patchwork ever since. this is where RR has failed

In 2022, the Commanders’ defense was the 6th best in the league in Expected Points Added (EPA), 7th best in points allowed, 4th best in total yards allowed, 4th best in passing yards allowed, 11th best in rushing yards allowed and 11th best in offensive yards per play. In contrast, the offense ranked 25th in EPA and 24th in points scored, averaging just 18.9 points per game. They were also 20th in total yardage, 21st in passing yardage, 27th in yards per play, 12th worst in offensive turnovers, 6th worst in interceptions and 7th worst in sacks taken.

this is why i come down hard on drafting stick figure and quan while bypassing the o/line

If SH continually makes the playoffs and wins playoff games on a consistent basis, I think that will be sexy enough. If he does well early its better for the team b/c he is on a 5th round contract, freeing up money for other players.

If Forbes and Martin end up being draft worthy then it doesn't matter. They were pretty much always going to go with a corner. That was not a secret. I was surprised and a bit disappointed at the 2nd round pick as I was expecting picks 2 and 3 to be OLineman but it seems a lot of people are high on Martin so .... we'll see.

Not sure but it would be a hell of a running back room!
