Well, a strong running game and good defense would have helped with that.

I'm with the 25%. At 7-9, 7-9, and 8-8-1 He has met my expectations. I gave him a "D" as the HC and a "D" on personnel decisions. To paraphrase Denny Green "He is what I thought he was!Grade Ron Rivera After His First Three Seasons in Washington

RR just isn't a very good coachCommanders Rank Last in NFLPA's Free-Agency Report Cards; Vikings, Dolphins Top List
The grades were calculated from a 60-question confidential questionnaire that 1,300 players filled out.
Teams were graded on the following eight subjects:
The Commanders ranked last overall and received a F grade in treatment of families and an F-minus grade for training room, travel and locker room.
- Treatment of Families
- Nutrition
- Weight Room
- Strength Staff
- Training Room
- Training Staff
- Locker Room
- Travel
By comparison, the Vikings received an A, A-minus or A-plus grade in every category.
This is disgusting and reflects directly on Rivera and Company. He has been here 3 years and to have F rated facilities, travel and how families are treated?? I was fairly amped this week regarding the Bienemy hire but the Snyder news and now this just takes the wind out of the sails.
I would not say that he isn't a very good coach depending on what you're looking to do. Like QBs, all HCs aren't the same and must be paid accordingly. That said if your team is perpetually bad and winning 3, 4, and 5 games per season, he is a good transitional HC that you put in place to better stabilize your product on the field. His tenure should not be more than a season or two as you build your team and prepare for an eventual push toward becoming a constant entrant into the playoffs and winning SBs.RR just isn't a very good coach
Does anyone have a link to or can post the questions from this survey?1,300 players submitted questionnaires. It appears current Commander players voted this rating for the work place.

I'll bet that there were some unasked factors that went towards their answers. An example would be winning and what it takes to win, games, playoff games, and championships. Remember players also rank themselves and when your team contributes very little to such rankings, or in this case, ranks so poorly, players know that their front offices aren't putting in the work and effort to gather as many top-end guys as they can afford for their respective teams, and it shows on the field.
