It really pains me that the Rangers made all the types of moves I wanted the Devils to make.

Gerard Gallant was the coach I wanted, we got Ruff. We desperately need toughness, leadership and guys that have won it, they get Reeves and Barclay Goodrow. We got Tatar who has unceremoniously made his way off of his past 2 teams.

Outside of the fluke Taylor Hall MVP year it's been a decade of bottom feeding. The Rangers took 2 years to rebuild.

The Rangers rebuilt somewhat but let's not forget Shersterkin being top 2 in save percentage and gga is covering up a lot of warts

What a mess, this is just strange. Unless he was out partying but then why would he be surprised?

1) Kakko should've been spoken to by coaching staff about the scratch. He started every other game in the postseason, you don't just scratch a guy after consistently playing him without at least explaining it to him. Gallant probably thought "fuck it, kid needs to learn anyway", which is bullshit. He would've sat down with Kreider if for whatever reason he was sitting him.

2) Kakko probably deserved a scratch. He wasn't good vs. TB.

"When I was his age..."

And realistically, was a healthy Kakko a worse choice than half of Strome? Yeah, Kakko looked intimidated against the heavy checking of the Bolts, but at least he could have finished the game.

What is funny there are Ranger fans thinking Penguins fans are upset about this. He was a third string goalie who was barely a Penguin. Seriously good for him he can continue to get work.

My thoughts as well. Good for Louie, but LOL at Rag fans.

I thought Kreider would be the sensible pick but I guess the guy prone to severe defensive lapses who likes to elbow superstars is good in the locker room:
