Did I hear correctly last night during the TSN telecast that 25 teams inquired about the services of Curtis Glencross at the trade deadline? Glencross is an ok player, but he sure makes some dumb decisions (including hooking Datsyuk down to the ice in the final minute last night).

Question for you Dash, if the Flames got say the number 3 pick, and the Devils were around 7, would you be open to the idea of swapping picks with the Devils tacking on say Volchenkov or Tallinder as well as a prospect and lesser pick? Or do the Flames absolutely need that top tier guy to start the rebuild around?

Well I'm not Jay Feaster, but I think if the Flames did have pick #3, it would take a monumental offer for the Flames to part with it. The Flames have been trying forever to obtain a #1 center and hopefully they will land a future #1 center in this upcoming entry draft.

Also, even though Murray Edwards said to Jay Feaster that "my marching orders are to make the playoffs next season", I think that was just something for the media to run with. Realistically, the Flames could and probably will be terrible again next season and could be in line for another top pick in 2014 (hello Sam Reinhart).

Yup, that's for sure. Haven't checked lately, but I'm pretty sure that there's still a waiting list for Flames season tickets. Also, the Flames could be rounding into a pretty good looking team about the time they're ready to move into their new building.
