"It's a decision that I need to make pretty soon."

And make no mistake, it's his decision.

Mom means well, but this is up to Johnny.

"Ultimately, it's going to come down to what I think is best for me," Gaudreau said. "I have my mom telling me what she thinks I should do. I have advisers and family members and everyone telling me what they think I should do and what they think is best for me, but it's going to come down to what I think is best for me and what's best for my hockey career."

First off, a tip of the hat to the Isles win last night over Ottawa and extending their lead over the Flames in the overall standings to three points. Sounds like it will either be Dal Colle or Draisaitl as I'm assuming Reinhart, Ekblad, and Bennett will be off the board.

Draisaitl is the high risk, high reward pick in my opinion, so I'd probably prefer going for Dal Colle.

all the best to the Burke family. Hes rough and gruff but he is a family man and this will probably hit him hard.

The Flames are doing their best to pick 5th. I'm really torn. I don't expect the Isles to give up a top 5 pick. So that means Buffalo will get our first 2 picks next year.

At 4 I want either Bennett or Dal Colle. Bennett is tenacious. He'll do whatever it takes to win & is very skilled. Dal Colle can flat out shoot the puck. On the wing with Tavares or Strome he's got a chance to be a perennial 40 goal scorer.
