on Canucks lunch, I heard Dumbass Trance say the Flames should trade Markie to the Coilers

lol - Why would Craig want to help Edmonton? I mean, is he thinking that either Skinner or Campbell (I would think it would be Jack) would be coming back? We don't want Edmonton's trash :D

On the subject of Huby, this video is pretty good detailing the different system being played in Calgary as opposed to Florida...

He's going through his Jimothy Timothy phase of a couple of years ago. The only difference is I don't know if he will ever snap out of it like JT did.
And it took until this year for JT to get benched for a period like Huby

and to be fair (???) there is another slight difference

The Flames when they are playing their best hockey do engage their defensemen in the rush (I mean, at least they used to). Whether Sutter drummed them out of them and Huska is reluctant to tell his D men to join the rush is something I'm not sure of. I mean, Gio when he was here was always available on the rush, Rasmus certainly is there and the same with Kylington (side note: the Flames really miss Oliver).

Maybe they're reluctant to join the rush because there's not much confidence in the goaltending :noidea:

With all the focus on Huby, Elias Lindholm is also off to a slow start this season and is likely costing himself a chunk of change on his next contract.

With Johnny's recent struggles, I am really hoping to reunite them here. For once we have assets to trade.

Yeah but why trade them for a guy who's not doing great in a season where your team also isn't doing great and might be ready to move on from the current management structure to boot?

They should start on an upswing soon and they need some experience and stability up and down the lineup. Getting Lindholm back with Johnny and putting Laine there when he's back solidifies the top line for the time being. Getting him now might change this season's fortunes.
