I'll just add that late season Huby was really good and I hope he can carry that play into next season. Really disappointed in Kadri down the stretch though, he was invisible.

The Flames have the flexibility and the talent to figure this out and compete next season but by god do they really need someone fresh building the roster there.

They should really let Jim Benning come in and finish the job with his core.

I don't know if there's a power struggle between Treliving and Sutter, but I think the owner likes the coach more than he does the GM. Based on some of the lineup decisions and line combinations, it looked like the coach was going to do things his way (shocker, I know). At any rate, I don't see how you can come back with the same coach and GM tandem for next season.

lol - It's all good, the Flames have nobody to blame but themselves for the mocking that is occurring. As you said, there are some pieces (starting with Lindholm even though I love the guy) that need to be moved that could fetch a good package. I think Treliving has done an okay job as GM, but it's time for somebody new in that role. The goaltending this year for the Flames was terrible, bring up the Wolf and let's see what he can do.
